Itineraries
Day 1
Bac Ha - Ha Giang - Quan Ba
Start your journey with a scenic 180km road trip from Bac Ha to Ha Giang, where you’ll enjoy lunch in Ha Giang City. Afterward, continue towards Quan Ba Heaven Gate, perched at 1,500 meters above sea level, offering breathtaking panoramic views. Descend into Tam Son town to marvel at the iconic Fairy Twin Mountains. In the evening, settle into Nam Dam village, home to the Black Dao people, for an authentic overnight homestay experience.
Day 2
Quan Ba - Yen Minh - Lung Cu flag tower - Dong Van.
Depart Nam Dam and head towards Yen Minh town, passing through winding mountain roads and lush forests. Stop at the impressive Tham Ma Pass before visiting the historic Hmong King’s Palace. Continue north to the Lung Cu Flag Tower, Vietnam’s northernmost point, where you can enjoy sweeping views of the surrounding mountains and spot Chinese villages along the border. Arrive in Dong Van in the late afternoon and unwind at a local hotel for the night.
Day 3
Dong Van - Ma Pi Leng pass - Meo Vac - Yen Minh - Ha Giang
After breakfast, check out and prepare for the highlight of the journey: the awe-inspiring Ma Pi Leng Pass. This iconic mountain road, rising to 1,500 meters, offers some of the most dramatic landscapes in Vietnam. Continue to Yen Minh for lunch before embarking on the final leg back to Ha Giang City. From Ha Giang, you can either catch a sleeping bus back to Hanoi or choose to spend the night in town, concluding your adventure.
